Delivered first-of-their-kind radiotherapy dosage apps, patient referral apps and hospital website redesigns, alongside segmented content strategies to grow consultant referrals. Designed and standardised 150+ patient literature assets across print, digital, video, improving accessibility, consistency and distribution while supporting service launches across Radiotherapy, Robotic Aquablation Therapy, Occupational Therapy and Osteoarthritis.

Planned and delivered hospital events, hospital launches, clinical conferences with TV presenters and qualified Doctors like Dr Phil Hammond, consultant engagement initiatives and patient-facing videos and communications, coordinating cross-functional teams to ensure consistent messaging and strong audience engagement. Entrepreneurial experience includes running my own Limited Company, a digital agency with 4 staff, (4 years), hands-on across design, video, web, ABM and email campaigns. Clients included M&S, Costa, University of Portsmouth and charity CleanWater. Leading product launches of new treatments, campaigns, patient literature, social media and videos. All building to an increased pipeline, quicker adoption rates and awareness of treatment options available to consultants. 

I managed the marketing requirements for 10 UK Hospitals for both patients and doctors. In my tenure at GenesisCare all patient literature was recreated and managed through one print and distribution centre, allowing for greater accountability and speed of delivery of print projects. Cost savings could be made as patient literature was bought in bulk then shipped on a monthly basis to each hospital saving money on delivery and avoiding last minute print runs.

  • External communications were structured into distinct content streams, using audience-specific approaches to strengthen consultant referral growth. 
  • Excellent open rates and engagement internally (80%) and external open rates exceeded 65%.

Healthcare Communications

  • Extensive experience delivering healthcare communications and marketing across private healthcare and NHS services, with a strong understanding of patient, consultant and stakeholder audiences.
  • Managed all internal and external communications for GenesisCare across 10 UK hospitals, supporting service launches, referral activity, consultant engagement and patient communications.
  • Delivered campaigns across specialist medical fields including Occupational Therapy, Radiotherapy and wider healthcare services.
  • Strong copywriting and communications experience, developing clear, engaging messaging across patient information, internal communications and multi-channel campaigns.

Patient Literature

  • Managed the printed and digital patient literature for x10 hospitals (Adobe Illustrator, Adobe InDesign) over 150+ patient literature documents all signed off through regulatory processes.

  • Creating Medical Posters for clinical staff across NHS and private. Illustrations, designs and print collateral. 

Patient Literature

Printed and digital patient literature well over 150+ created for new products, services and information. Product launches included new treatment options from new products, or innovative new uses of machines to provide better patient outcomes. Support included print distribution and management on monthly drop shipments to reduce costs and ensure there was always the right amount of literature in the right locations.

SaaS – App Development

Working with development agencies to create super secure Referral Apps, Radiotherapy Dosage Calculators and web development projects to build the pipeline of both insured and self-referring patients. Simplifying User Experience (UX) to speed up the process of referring keeping all the data in one centralised platform. 

Data Insights & Engagement

Delivered and facilitated clinical conferences with leading UK doctors, creating structured opportunities to capture and analyse attendee feedback and expert insight. Worked with a significant proportion of UK private oncologists, enabling the collection of meaningful qualitative and quantitative data across clinical perspectives and referral behaviours. Translated insights from these engagements into actionable learning for future events, improving agenda design, speaker selection and audience targeting to increase relevance, engagement and impact of subsequent conferences.

Marcus Brigstocke – Event Speaker

Choosing the right after dinner speaker included research of their previous projects, budget considerations and matching a comedian to the audience. Prior to the night a profile of the company was compiled and sent. On the night I provided a quick overview of the company and audience with things to avoid and a concise summary of conference details. Feedback was positive and helped set the tone for the conference.

CPD Events & Certificated CPD

Management of CPD events, seminars, lectures, conferences and training sessions to build referral pipelines and promote best practice amongst the UK’s GPs, surgeons, radiographers. 

Clinical Events, Market Activation & Stakeholder Engagement

Planned and delivered a wide range of clinical events, conferences, hospital launches and stakeholder engagement programmes across multiple hospital sites. Led end-to-end event management including agenda design, speaker coordination, and content development, working with TV doctors, consultants and senior clinicians to shape high-impact, audience-led sessions. Managed cross-functional collaboration across clinical, marketing and operational teams to ensure alignment of messaging, commercial objectives and patient/service priorities. Delivered both in-person and hybrid events, incorporating patient education, service promotion and referral pathway development, with a focus on strengthening consultant engagement, enhancing reputation and supporting new clinical service adoption.

Healthcare Visual Communications & Market Activation Design

Designed and delivered hundreds of print and digital assets for healthcare organisations, including pull-up banners, clinical posters, patient education materials and service promotion artwork. Translated clinical and service information into clear, accessible visual communications used across hospitals, supporting patient understanding, consultant engagement and service awareness. Ensured consistency of messaging and brand alignment across multi-site environments, contributing to campaign delivery, service launches and improved visibility of clinical offerings across both patient-facing and professional audiences.

NHS Recruitment Marketing & Applicant Growth Programmes

Created a series of animated social videos for LinkedIn to improve the performance of job advertisements. Compared to static image posts, video content increased engagement and reached more applicants, driven by LinkedIn’s preference for video in its algorithm. The animations were kept short and clear to maintain viewer attention and communicate key details quickly. This approach not only improved visibility but also attracted a higher number of quality applications, with some roles seeing a increase in click-through rate after switching to video posts.

Exhibition Stands & Artwork

The exhibition stand had an integrated TV and had a timelapse of our flagship centre on loop. The stand was also built so that it could be easily adapted, both in size and so that the graphics could be changed, for future conferences.

The branding for the Joint Pain Practice is clean, modern, and professional—designed to reflect the clinic’s focus on expert, patient-centered care. The visual identity uses a calm, clinical palette and clear typography to convey trust and clarity without unnecessary complexity. Every element is purposeful, creating a cohesive and reassuring experience for patients.

The website was built with usability and performance in mind. It’s fast, responsive, and easy to navigate, allowing users to quickly find key information about conditions, treatments, and booking. The design is minimal and functional, with a structure that supports both SEO and future content updates.
