Wiley
Marketing Manager
Growth-focused Marketing Manager with 15+ years of experience delivering high-impact campaigns across the technology and regulated sectors.
I’ve delivered multi-market GTM strategies that exceeded targets by £1.2 million, scaled content, CRM and ABM programs globally, and grew audiences from 43,000 to 71,000 through data-led campaign execution and customer-focused marketing.
Hands-on in campaign activation and highly collaborative with sales and commercial teams, I bring extensive experience across GTM, ABM, demand generation, customer retention, and account expansion initiatives. Equally comfortable executing campaigns and analysing performance data, I combine commercial awareness with AAT accountancy qualifications to drive measurable business outcomes.
I led marketing support for 48 distributors across Europe, the US, and the Middle East, partnering closely with regional sales teams to deliver pipeline growth, strengthen customer relationships, and support market expansion through targeted GTM and ABM campaigns. Certified in Google Analytics, Google Ads, HubSpot, and AAT, I bring strategic insight, strong stakeholder management, and a results-driven mindset focused on revenue impact.
My practical skill set spans email marketing, CRM management, content creation, design, video production, campaign management, analytics, and web development, enabling me to translate strategy into effective customer-facing execution.
I’d welcome the opportunity to join Wiley as the role aligns strongly with my background in field marketing, campaign execution, and sales-aligned growth initiatives. I began my career as a junior web developer before moving into email marketing and broader commercial marketing roles, continuously expanding my skill set to increase business impact. I am also currently studying PRINCE2 Agile Practitioner.
I created this landing page specifically for this application because successful marketing starts with initiative, attention to detail, and a commitment to delivering value, qualities I bring to every project and stakeholder relationship.
If what you’ve seen here aligns with the type of Field Marketing Manager you’re looking for, I would welcome the opportunity to discuss how I can help translate strategy into pipeline growth, customer retention, account expansion, and measurable marketing impact across EMEA and global markets.
Campaigns that deliver…
ABM Campaigns & Credibility-Led Engagement
At Transalis, I introduced a more human and credibility-focused approach to account-based marketing (ABM) campaigns to improve engagement in a highly technical SaaS environment.
Rather than relying solely on product-led messaging, I shifted campaign execution towards real people, recognisable faces, and trusted expertise, bringing internal specialists, leadership, and subject matter experts into newsletters, campaigns, and content to create a more authentic brand voice. In a market increasingly saturated with AI-generated summaries and generic messaging, the focus was on creating communications with personality, opinion, and real commercial insight.
Alongside this, I strengthened campaign credibility through strategic use of accreditations, customer trust signals, and software partnerships, including Amazon integrations and partner recognition, helping reinforce confidence in the platform and communicate technical capability more effectively.
Creative Email Campaigns that ‘pop’
It’s the phrase every designer and video editor hates… make it ‘pop’, what does that mean? It means creating content that works for the audience and where they can engage with it. These examples performed particularly well, the evidence is in the numbers, we had increased subscribers, the best open rates not only against our own metrics but against the industry. From Travel we won the TTG award off of the results from these campaigns.
- +18,498 more emails opened
- 94 more campaigns sent
- +13,711 more email addresses
Personally, I like campaigns that bring a return, are part of an email automation flow and campaigns that teach, are part of a wellbeing plan or help get the customer further down the pipeline. I also like a bit of animation too if it adds some value to the campaign…
Coverage – D-Day Museum & Buckingham Palace
Secured high-profile PR coverage for a specialist flooring installation at the D-Day Museum, where our resin bound flooring product was specified for its durability, aesthetic quality, and suitability for a nationally significant heritage setting. The project attracted further attention following a visit by HRH The Princess Royal, Anne.
The same system used at Buckingham Palace, reinforcing the product’s credentials as a trusted solution for prestigious, high-profile locations. This coverage strengthened brand authority within the architectural and public sector markets, positioning the product as a proven choice for demanding, high-traffic environments.
Problem Solving through Effective Communications
One challenge at Transalis was helping prospects quickly understand highly technical software functionality and the commercial benefits behind complex data automation and e-invoicing solutions.
To improve engagement and campaign performance, I led the development of lightweight, scalable visual assets that demonstrated software functionality clearly and quickly. Rather than relying on large GIF files with poor loading performance, I introduced Lottie animations and code-based motion graphics to create faster, cleaner, and more responsive digital experiences.
These animations enabled us to showcase “behind-the-scenes” platform functionality in a simple, visually engaging way while improving performance across channels. Assets were repurposed across social media campaigns, email marketing, presentations, video content, landing pages, and sales enablement materials to ensure consistent messaging throughout the go-to-market journey.
The result was a more effective way to communicate product value, improve engagement, and support campaign activation with scalable creative assets that could be deployed globally across multiple touchpoints.
Maximising Engagement Through Segmented Automation Campaigns in Engineering
In the engineering sector, developing targeted segments for automation campaigns has been instrumental in driving both engagement and measurable results. By carefully analysing customer behaviour, industry-specific needs, and decision-making patterns, distinct segments were created to ensure messaging was highly relevant and tailored to each audience type, whether potential clients exploring new solutions, existing customers seeking upgrades, or technical professionals requiring in-depth product information. This approach not only supported the launch of new products through integrated microsite campaigns, email automation, and PPC advertising but also helped elevate performance significantly, with average email and automation campaign open rates rising from 3.4% to 27% within just nine months. Alongside these segmentation strategies, the development of a new e-commerce website further enhanced campaign effectiveness by delivering a seamless user experience, improved SEO visibility, and a complete visual overhaul that aligned with modern digital expectations. Together, these efforts ensured that automation campaigns were not only data-driven and strategically segmented but also supported by a robust digital infrastructure that amplified visibility, engagement, and conversion across the engineering sector.
National Campaign Coverage
In conjunction with National Manufacturing Day, organised by MakeUK.org, we hosted an event welcoming over 60 students from a local school. The day featured interactive activities, including hands-on product-making, a guided factory tour, and even the chance for students to operate the fire curtains in our training facility.
Beyond the strong CSR benefits, the event served a strategic SEO purpose providing an excellent platform to showcase Coopers Fire’s UK manufacturing capabilities. The campaign was well received, earning a feature on the MakeUK.org homepage and becoming the main video in their media section for over six months. It played a key role in positioning the organisation as a prominent UK manufacturer, securing valuable backlinks and reinforcing our reputation as thought leaders in the sector not simply importers of products.
Campaigns that capture attention
In my previous role, I led the development and delivery of the “Night at the Museum” campaign in collaboration with the Natural History Museum and Coopers Fire. The campaign was designed to showcase Coopers Fire’s solutions within one of the UK’s most iconic heritage venues while creating a compelling story that resonated with key decision-makers in the heritage and built-environment sectors. I secured stakeholder buy-in, managed cross-functional delivery, and created a multi-channel content programme including a 360-degree virtual tour, video, photography, and case study assets. The campaign achieved a 42% engagement rate, our highest organic performance to date, and delivered record-breaking click-through rates. Beyond the metrics, it generated valuable conversations with senior stakeholders, helped secure new opportunities with major heritage organisations, and established a repeatable framework for future demand generation and account-based marketing campaigns.
Email campaigns that trigger actions
This campaign was created post-Covid to encourage the return to travel. A targeted campaign to Travel Managers across the UK, it was a great way to warm up cold leads, introduce ourselves to new organisations and keep current customers aware of the latest trends. It also led to further campaigns on training of our current and updated systems too, to remind users how to use the travel booking systems and effectively help our revenue.
Strategic Communications
Viewers retain 95% of a message when they watch it in a video, compared to 10% when reading it in the text (source). So it can be a very powerful tool when you need to communicate clearly your vision. This also allowed me to condense the overarching messages and stir-up emotion and comradery with our staff coming through a very difficult time in the travel industry we used video weekly to create clear communications that kept focus on our objectives.
Multi-Channel Stakeholder Communication
The campaign was developed to communicate change clearly, reduce uncertainty, and support retention from both a commercial and people perspective. Content was distributed across multiple channels and also generated additional PR visibility, helping reinforce confidence in the organisation, maintain brand trust, and ensure consistent messaging during a period of change.
This work demonstrated the importance of fast, clear campaign execution, stakeholder alignment, and effective communication to support business continuity and long-term customer confidence.
Bringing Personality Back to B2B Campaigns.
At Transalis, I introduced a new approach to monthly newsletters and account-based marketing campaigns designed to cut through increasingly automated and AI-generated content.
Rather than relying solely on product messaging, I shifted campaign execution towards real people, real opinions, and authentic expertise, introducing human-led content with a recognisable voice and face that gave customers and prospects something worth engaging with. Through monthly newsletters, targeted ABM campaigns, podcast style videos and thought-leadership content, I created stronger engagement by combining technical insight with personality, perspective, and commercial relevance.
The approach supported go-to-market campaign activation by improving audience engagement, strengthening account relationships, and creating scalable content that could be adapted across email, sales outreach, web, and social channels. In a market increasingly shaped by automation, the focus was simple: make communications feel more human, more useful, and more memorable.
Looking for someone who can turn strategy into high-quality campaign execution?
I bring hands-on experience across GTM campaigns, ABM activation, performance optimisation, CRM, content, email, and scalable digital execution, with a focus on measurable impact, commercial outcomes, and helping teams move faster and smarter.
Why This Opportunity at Wiley Stands Out
I’m really interested in the opportunity at Wiley because it brings together two key parts of my career.
I previously worked at Wiley in Central Marketing, initially on a short contract where I was coding and building email campaigns, before moving into a maternity cover role. In that role I managed email marketing across General Interest and Architecture titles, delivered campaigns for authors such as Patrik Schumacher and Mark Burry, supported the For Dummies range, and helped deliver the Architectural Design Magazine website ahead of schedule through process improvements and automation. That gave me early experience working with specialist audiences and structured content-led marketing.
Since then I’ve built broad experience across regulated and complex B2B environments. In healthcare I managed communications across 10 hospitals, in fire safety I worked in a highly regulated specification-led industry, and I’ve also delivered campaigns with organisations such as RIBA, the Professional Footballers Association, and brands including the Natural History Museum, Burberry and Aston Villa. I also ran my own agency, working with clients such as Costa, M&S and the University of Portsmouth.
What attracts me to Wiley now is the combination of institutional customers, complex sales cycles and the need for highly targeted, account-based marketing. It feels like a strong fit for the experience I’ve built across sales-aligned marketing, CRM, and multi-stakeholder environments, where the focus is on measurable commercial impact.
